Lane is an explosive slot receiver with excellent quickness and big-play ability. He displays impressive burst off the line of scrimmage, quickly accelerating to top speed and threatening defenses horizontally and vertically. As a route runner, Lane shows developing precision, using his quickness to create separation at the break point. After the catch, he is dynamic, making defenders miss in space and turning short passes into significant gains. Lane demonstrates good tracking ability on deep balls, adjusting his speed and position to make over-the-shoulder catches. He offers additional value as a return specialist.
