STM Take

A touchdown-hungry receiver starting over with a new young quarterback.

The case for

21 career receiving TDs on 202 catches; the touchdown rate is among the best in this rank range.
Two-year climb from tier 7 to tier 5; the trajectory finally found a Green Bay role before the NE move.

The worry

Pre-2025 line was tier 6 or worse; the rebound is one year against three down years.
New England move means starting over with Maye's young receiver corps; role share is unproven.

What to watch: Whether Drake Maye's STTM #1 QB rank lifts Doubs to a tier-3-or-better season in 2026; the system fit is the bullish case.

Full take and bio

Doubs at STTM #33 tier 5 in 2025 climbed from #45 and #49 tier-7 finishes in his first two years to a top-35 finish in his contract year before signing with New England. The 21 career receiving TDs on 202 catches is a 10 percent TD rate, one of the higher marks in the field. The Patriots move pairs him with Drake Maye's tier-1 QB ceiling for 2026.

Doubs was born in Los Angeles, attended Jefferson High, and was a two-time first-team All-Mountain West pick at Nevada. Green Bay took him 132nd overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. Career line is 202 catches for 2,424 yards and 21 receiving TDs across four seasons. He signed with New England for 2026.
