As a redshirt sophomore, Caleb Lomu displays very good movement skills with a keen natural feel as a pass protector that tracks toward becoming a quality NFL left tackle. The 6'6", 308-pound tackle entered Utah as a 4-star recruit in the 2023 class and started 12 games at left tackle as a redshirt freshman in 2023. Lomu is still in the early stages of physical and technical development but his traits help him negotiate leverage and get out of compromising positions at a high level. His excellent recovery skills stem from very good body control and balance. He has the foot quickness and range to expand his set points and widen the corner against high-side rushes. Lomu showed an impressive ability to adapt in-game against Texas Tech's Romello Height's inside counters to not lose to the same move twice.
