Experience is the headline with PJ Williams: 29 career starts, a captaincy, and a second-team All-ACC season at right tackle in which he allowed two sacks on 448 pass-blocking snaps and posted one of the conference's best pressure rates. The Dickinson, Texas product started on the defensive line before moving to offensive tackle as a sophomore in high school, earned three straight first-team all-district selections and Under Armour All-American honors, and was a genuine dual-sport athlete who averaged 12.8 points and 6.9 rebounds on the basketball court as a senior. He signed with Texas A&M as a four-star and the ninth-ranked recruit in Texas, played one game, then transferred to SMU, where he appeared in 12 games with four starts at left tackle as a redshirt freshman and logged 862 snaps while also filling in at guard. He now grades within a point of himself in pass protection and the run game, the kind of balance line coaches read as dependability rather than flash, and he closed conference play with back-to-back clean sheets.
