The jump from tier 8 (#97, #96) in 2023-2024 to tier 6 #47 in 2025 is real progress, even if the underlying weeks (Wk 18 5.4, Wk 15 0, Wk 14 4.4) show the floor stays low. Wk 11's 14.7 PPR was the year's high. He is still a deep-threat specialist with limited intermediate route concepts, which caps the ceiling regardless of the year-over-year improvement.
Tucker came out of Cincinnati as Las Vegas's 3rd-round pick (100th overall) in 2023 after a senior season that produced 672 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. He ran a 4.40 forty at the combine, which fit the Raiders' need for a vertical speed target. He spent two seasons as a deep-threat specialist (tier 8 in both 2023 and 2024), then 2025 brought a meaningful role expansion as Jakobi Meyers became the slot focus and Tucker absorbed more outside snaps opposite him.
Strengths
- Combine 4.40 forty plus three full seasons surviving on Raiders rosters confirms the vertical-speed projection holds at the NFL level.
- Two-spot ranking improvement (#96 to #47) is meaningful progress from a 3rd-round investment, even if the absolute value remains low.
Concerns
- Tier 6 ceiling is below WR2-relevant production. Sub-6 PPR games in five of his last eight 2025 weeks (4.4, 5, 5.8, 0, 5.4) show the deep-shot dependency.
- Career route tree is narrow; he is essentially a Z-receiver who runs go routes and deep crossers. Defenses scheme that out and he disappears.
What to watch: Whether the Raiders' 2026 offensive identity adds intermediate routes to his usage or whether he remains a pure deep-threat specialist capped at tier 6.
