2024 Big Ten Rimington-Pace OL of the Year plus the Minnesota Big Ten 48th overall draft pedigree puts Ersery in the rare elite college pedigree OT class. The structural Texans anchor role gives him the developmental runway. The 2026 question is whether Ersery crosses into tier 6-7 territory in his year-two jump or whether the structural rookie tier 8 finish becomes the stable baseline.

Ersery came out of Minnesota as the Houston Texans' 2nd-round pick (48th overall) in 2025 after winning the 2024 Big Ten Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year. The Texans installed him in the starting offensive tackle rotation from his rookie year as part of the offensive line rebuild around C.J. Stroud.
