STM Take

The career arc is now a clear decline. From tier 3 (#24) in 2019 to tier 6 (#42) in 2023 to tier 8 (#58) in 2025 is a textbook trajectory drop, and the 2025 game log (Wk 11 last logged, only one game above 10 PPR) suggests injury ended the season early. At 32 with the Tennessee QB room still uncertain, the $92M contract is already a sunk cost the team has to play around.

Ridley came out of Alabama as Atlanta's 1st-round pick (26th overall) in 2018. His 2020 season produced 1,374 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns, earning a Pro Bowl selection and a tier 3 #24 STTM finish. He stepped away from football for personal reasons in October 2021, then was suspended for the 2022 season for betting on NFL games. Jacksonville traded for him in 2024 (tier 6 #42, 1,016 yards), and Tennessee signed him to a 4-year, $92M deal in 2025. The 2025 #58 (tier 8) finish is the worst of his career.

Strengths

  • 2020 Pro Bowl season with 1,374 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns plus the 2023 tier 6 #42 Jacksonville finish (1,016 yards) confirm career production levels.
  • Wk 5 2025's 18.1 PPR shows the ceiling is still there when the route concepts and the QB align.

Concerns

  • Career arc from #24 in 2019 to #58 in 2025 is the textbook decline curve. Six of his seven logged 2025 weeks scored under 9 PPR, with three under 5.
  • The 2022 gambling suspension plus the Tennessee QB chaos (Will Levis injury, Cam Ward rookie season) caps the realistic 2026 rebound ceiling at tier 6 at best.

What to watch: Whether Tennessee gets enough QB stability in 2026 to push his target share back above 6 per game, the threshold he needs to justify the $92M contract.
