Justin Jefferson 2026 NFL Draft Profile | ILB from Alabama
Scouting Report
Justin Jefferson is a linebacker prospect out of Alabama who projects as a developmental Day 3 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. At 6-1 and 227 pounds, Jefferson is undersized for the position but compensates with impressive athleticism and instinctive play. He went to Alabama as the No. 1 JUCO linebacker and second-ranked JUCO prospect overall, arriving as a four-star recruit from Pearl City Community College. After limited defensive action as a freshman, Jefferson took on a bigger role in 2024 as a rotational player, recording 60 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks. His 2025 campaign was a true breakout as he became a full-time starter and finished second on the team with 85 tackles while adding 6.5 TFLs, three sacks, an interception, five pass deflections, and a forced fumble. Jefferson earned a 71.7 PFF coverage grade and a 10.5% missed tackle rate, showing promise as a coverage linebacker. He is a sure tackler who consistently wraps up and his instincts are his best trait. He plays with a heart and motor well above most linebackers. Bleacher Report graded him 162nd overall and 12th among linebackers.
