The career arc is now clearly past peak. From tier 4 (#25) in 2021 and tier 5 (#35) in 2023 with the Patriots to tier 8 (#70) in 2025 with the 49ers shows what the post-ACL recovery looks like. The 2025 game log is mostly sub-6 PPR weeks (Wks 13-18 averaged 3.3 PPR) with a Wk 18 zero. At 30 with Aiyuk and Deebo as the locked alphas, his role is permanent WR4.
Bourne came out of Eastern Washington as an undrafted free agent in 2017 with the 49ers. He spent four seasons in San Francisco as a complementary piece, then signed with New England in 2021 (tier 4 #25, 800 yards). His 2023 tier 5 #35 finish was his career peak, then a torn ACL in October 2023 cost him most of 2023 and disrupted 2024.
