Monangai is a compact, powerful running back with excellent balance and competitive toughness. He displays impressive lower body strength, consistently breaking tackles and falling forward for extra yardage. As a runner, Monangai shows good vision, finding cutback lanes and setting up blocks effectively. He demonstrates burst through the hole and enough speed to be effective at the second level. In the passing game, Monangai has reliable hands out of the backfield and has shown improvement as a pass protector, identifying and squaring up blitzers.
