Croskey-Merritt is a compact, powerful running back with excellent balance and competitive toughness. He displays impressive lower body strength, consistently breaking tackles and falling forward for extra yardage. As a runner, Croskey-Merritt shows good vision, finding cutback lanes and setting up blocks effectively. He accelerates quickly through holes and has enough speed to break chunk gains when he finds daylight. Croskey-Merritt demonstrates reliable hands as a receiver out of the backfield and has shown improving pass protection skills. He runs with good pad level, making himself difficult to tackle.
