The 2025 #31 (tier 8) is the lowest ranking of his career, and the recent stretches have been consistent only in their mediocrity. The 2018 #15 with Philadelphia is gone, and the 2024 sub-4 PPR games confirm the bottom keeps getting lower when defenses prepare. Wentz came out of FCS North Dakota State as the #2 overall pick by Philadelphia in 2016, the highest pick ever spent on a Football Championship Subdivision quarterback. He was the MVP frontrunner late in 2017 before a torn ACL in Week 14 handed the keys to Nick Foles, who went on to win Super Bowl LII.
