Purdy is back at STTM #3 tier 1 in 2025 after a tier-3 dip to #11 in 2024, restoring the 2023 league-leader baseline as the actual ceiling. Two of three years as a starter at tier 1 in a stacked QB room is a real profile, not a Shanahan halo. The 2024 dip looks more like an injury-thin offense than a regression in Purdy himself.
Purdy was born in Queen Creek, Arizona, started at Iowa State after Kempt's injury, and finished his college career as a two-time first-team All-Big 12 selection. San Francisco took him with the final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft (262nd overall), making him Mr. Irrelevant.
