Goff sits STTM #4 tier 1 in 2025, his third straight tier-1 year and the fourth in five seasons in Detroit. The profile is steady-state: high-volume, high-efficiency pocket passer running the league's most coherent offense. Ceiling is essentially set; the only variable is whether the Lions' run-game share keeps trending up and compressing his attempts.

Goff was born in Novato, California to a former Major League Baseball player and set 26 records at Cal before the Rams took him first overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. He led Los Angeles to Super Bowl LIII in his third year, was traded to Detroit in 2021, and has since made four Pro Bowls including back-to-back nods in 2024 and 2025.
