Jones authored the biggest rank jump on the QB board in 2025, climbing from STTM #32 tier 8 with the Giants in 2024 to STTM #8 tier 2 in Indianapolis. The career history is brutal (four straight seasons at #26 or worse before this), so the entire tier-2 case sits on a single year. Either the Colts' system unlocked a real ceiling or this is the most stat-cosmetic line on the list.

Jones was born in Charlotte, walked on at Duke, and developed into the sixth overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft for the Giants, where he earned the "Danny Dimes" nickname. He led New York to a 2022 playoff win and signed a four-year, $160 million extension the following offseason. He was benched mid-2024 and released, spent the rest of that year as a Vikings backup, then signed with Indianapolis on a one-year deal in 2025 and beat out Anthony Richardson for the starting job.

Strengths

24-rank, 6-tier jump in one season, the biggest move in the top fifteen.
Career 2,343 rushing yards and 20 rushing TDs give him a fantasy floor most pocket-passers in this range cannot match.

Concerns

Pre-2025 STTM history reads #32, #49, #26, #31 going back to 2019; the multi-year trend is the opposite of the 2025 spike.
55 career interceptions against 89 touchdowns is a worse ratio than every other top-15 QB on the board, even the rebound profiles.

What to watch: Whether his second look against AFC South defenses regresses or holds. One-year jumps without a prior tier-1 floor are the hardest profiles to sustain.
