STM Take
His rookie #34 (tier 8) is the floor outcome rather than the ceiling. The early-season usage was uneven while the team and league worked through his off-field situation, but the Wk 12-13 stretch (16.7 and 15.9 PPR) shows the player Cleveland thought they were getting. A clean 2026 offseason plus a defined lead-back role is the only path to a tier 5 or better.
Judkins came out of Ohio State (after transferring from Ole Miss) as Cleveland's 2nd-round pick (36th overall) in 2025. He shared backfield duties with TreVeyon Henderson on the 2024 national championship team and finished his Big Ten career with 4,138 combined rushing yards across two schools. At 6'0" and 219 pounds with starter-grade speed, he was widely seen as a 1st-round talent before a July 2025 domestic violence arrest pushed him into Day 2. The charges were ultimately dropped, but the off-field cloud affected his draft-day landing and his 2025 NFL workload.
Strengths
- 4,138 combined Ole Miss and Ohio State rushing yards plus a national title share with the 2024 Buckeyes is genuine college production. His 219-pound frame and starter-grade speed grade as a 1st-round talent on football alone.
- Wk 12-13 2025 production (16.7, 15.9 PPR) shows the ceiling when he gets full lead-back workload. He is 23 with three or four primes still ahead of him.
Concerns
- The July 2025 domestic violence arrest dropped him from a likely 1st-round pick to the 36th overall slot, and any reoccurrence makes him a roster risk regardless of production.
- Tier 8 rookie finish and three sub-6 PPR games in 2025 (5.9, 4.7, 4.7) show the production has been inconsistent even when he was on the field. Jerome Ford is still on the roster.
What to watch: Whether Cleveland commits to him as the workhorse lead back (200+ carries) in 2026 or continues splitting touches with Jerome Ford and incoming backfield depth.
