Three career STTM rankings, all in the high 20s or 30s, and a Pro Bowl that was more about position scarcity than performance. Huntley is a movement-skill backup whose ceiling shows up in spot starts (Wk 17 2024 hit 24.2 PPR) but who cannot sustain a starter's workload across multiple weeks. Returning to Baltimore is the right fit because the Ravens' offense is already built for his exact skill set.

Huntley came out of Utah as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and signed with Baltimore as Lamar Jackson's understudy. He made the 2022 Pro Bowl as an alternate when Lamar was injured, going 2-1 in his starts that season and posting a 76.7 passer rating across nine appearances. He briefly left Baltimore for Miami in 2024 (started three games when Tua Tagovailoa was concussed), then re-signed with the Ravens for 2025. His mobile, low-volume passing skill set is a near-copy of Lamar's, which is exactly why Baltimore keeps bringing him back.

Strengths

Mobility produces fantasy-relevant games when he plays (Wk 8 2025 hit 16.74 PPR, Wk 17 2024 hit 24.2 PPR). His Lamar-similar skill set means zero install cost when Baltimore needs to flip in the backup.
System familiarity with the Ravens offense lowers the floor when Lamar Jackson misses time. He has actually won as a starter (2-1 in 2022), which most career backups cannot say.

Concerns

The Wk 15-16 2025 stretch (-0.3 and 2.8 PPR) shows what happens when defenses prepare for him as a multi-week starter. His career yards per attempt under 7.0 is the structural ceiling.
Career passer rating under 80 and a 2-7 record as a starter (across his career to date) confirm he is a one-week fill-in, not a multi-week answer.

What to watch: Whether he stays as Baltimore's primary backup through 2026 or gets squeezed by a draft pick once the Ravens start planning for the post-Lamar window.
