STM Take
Rodgers at STTM #23 tier 6 in his first year in Pittsburgh is the late-career floor, two ticks better than his 2024 NYJ line (#21 tier 6) but five tiers off the 2021 MVP peak. The resume is untouchable; the rank is what it is. Two straight tier-6 years now make this a stable late-career profile rather than a comeback story.
Rodgers was born in Chico, California, walked on at Butte College before transferring to Cal, and the Packers took him 24th overall in the 2005 NFL Draft. He won Super Bowl XLV and the game's MVP, has been named four-time NFL MVP (2011, 2014, 2020, 2021), four-time first-team All-Pro, and ten-time Pro Bowler. He left Green Bay for the Jets in 2023, missed nearly all of 2023 with an Achilles tear, and signed with Pittsburgh ahead of the 2025 season.
Strengths
- Four NFL MVPs, four first-team All-Pros, a Super Bowl XLV title and MVP. The career hardware case has nothing left to prove.
- Two seasons removed from a 2023 Achilles tear, he still finished STTM #23 in PIT, better than nine other team starters.
Concerns
- Two straight tier-6 seasons; the 2020-21 MVP profile is now four years and a major injury in the rear view.
- 2025 game logs show one PPR week under 2 points; the floor games are now real, not outlier weeks.
What to watch: Whether PIT can keep him healthy for 16+ games, and whether the offense scales attempts to compensate for the age curve.
