Williams was born in St. Louis, attended Cardinal Ritter, and played one year at Ohio State before transferring to Alabama where he was a 2021 first-team All-American. Detroit took him 12th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. After two slow developmental years, he broke out at STTM #26 tier 4 in 2024 before climbing to #6 tier 1 in 2025. Career line is 148 catches for 2,513 yards and 17 TDs. He is the first cousin of Rams RB Kyren Williams.
