The drop from #28 (tier 7) in 2024 to #46 (tier 8) in 2025 captures the role compression as Bucky Irving locked down lead-back duties. Wk 11's 34 PPR explosion is real ceiling, but seven of his other 2025 games scored under 9 PPR. He is a third-back-in-the-room piece whose path to fantasy relevance requires both Irving and White to be out.
Tucker came out of Syracuse as an undrafted free agent in 2023 after a heart condition discovered in pre-draft medicals tanked his stock. He had posted 1,496 rushing yards as a Syracuse junior in 2021 and earned All-ACC honors that season. Tampa Bay signed him to the practice squad and elevated him as the 2023 season progressed; he posted his first career 100-yard game in Wk 13 of 2023. The 2024 tier 7 finish (#28) was his peak. The 2025 role was compressed by Bucky Irving's emergence and Rachaad White's presence.
Strengths
- 1,496 rushing yards as a Syracuse junior plus All-ACC honors in 2021 is a real college production line that the heart-condition medical, not football, kept out of the 2023 draft.
- Wk 11 2025's 34 PPR explosion is the highest single-game output by any Tampa back in the period, showing the ceiling is genuine when both Irving and White are limited.
Concerns
- Seven of his last eight 2025 games scored under 9 PPR (including three under 1: -0.4, 0.8, 0). That is the floor of a third-string back in a crowded room.
- The 2024-to-2025 drop (#28 to #46) shows the room got younger and the role contracted. Irving's lead status is locked through at least 2026.
What to watch: Whether Tampa Bay rosters him through 2026 final cuts at all, given Irving's lock on lead duties and White's contract through the next offseason.
